RESULTS: MEN | WOMEN

SALEM, Ore. - The Knight Cross Country teams got a look today at the the course that will serve as the Cascade Conference Championship venue at the annual CCC Preview Meet hosted by Corban.

The ladies raced with four runners and did not record a team score. Newcomer Makenna Conley was the top Knight finisher over the 5k track, placing 30th overall in a time of 21:04. Also competing for WP were Ayde Alvarado (21:59, 39th), Jessie Vonbargen (22:46, 46th), and Lily Chavez (23:10, 49th)

The Knight men able to field a full scoring squad, placing 6th as a team. Newcomer Manny Garcia fared well over the 8k distance, placing 24th in a time of 28:17. He was followed by Chad Smurthwaite (30:06, 37th), Chris Morgan (32:08, 46th), and Alex Seymour (33:03, 49th), and Miguel Simon (40:15, 52nd).

The team will wait two weeks until their next event - the Charles Bowles Invite on October 3.
