LA GRANDE, Ore. - Brandy Velasquez has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for her performance during the period of September 14-20.

Velasquez, a junior from Gresham, Ore., totaled 43 digs over the weekend including 29 in the Knights' win over Oregon Tech.

She has moved into the #5 spot on the WPC career digs list with 612 in her career so far.
