WP Men's Golf Adds Three to Roster

PORTLAND, Ore. - Warner Pacific men's golf added three more athletes to their 2015-16 roster with the signing of high school seniors Jamison Belmont, Justin Murray, and Trent Standard to letters of intent.

Belmont will be a freshman at WPC after participating in golf at David Douglas High School in Portland. "Jamison is a hard-working player who is eager to improve," said coach Heard. "I really like his attitude on the course and willingness to learn."

Murray is from Burlington, New Jersey, where has team captain and 3-year varsity player for Burlington Township High School. He was named 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All-County after his senior season. "Justin is already shooting some very low scores in competitive tournaments and will only get better," said coach Heard. "He will be a big part of our team for years to come."

Standard arrives at WP from Fort Vancouver High School in Vancouver, Washington where he was District Champion in 2012, named 1st Team All-League in 2013 and 2014, and 3-time State qualifier. "Trent is a very talented golfer who is capable of winning tournaments," said coach Heard. "I look forward to helping him grow as a player and a student at Warner Pacific."

The Knight golf teams open their 2015-16 season at the Oregon Tech Invitational on September 21.
