PORTLAND, Ore. – Northwest University outlasted Warner Pacific in five sets tonight at C.C. Perry Gym. The visiting Eagles scored the first five points of the final frame to hold off the Knights and earn the win in their CCC opener.

• The first set was close throughout, and the sides were tied 22-22 late.
• The Eagles claimed set one 25-23 after hitting for two kills and a WP error.
• Set two was another battle, but Warner Pacific took control with four straight points to go ahead 23-20.
• Janessa White finished off the frame for WP with two big kills.
• Northwest owned set three, going up 15-3 behind the serving of Alysanne Van Dyke and then cruising to the win.
• WP wasn't ready to go home, and tied the match with a 25-23 win in set four, scoring four of the final five points.
• The final set got away from the home team quickly, as NU went up 5-0. WP managed to draw within 8-5 after a Nicole Kincaide winner, but three straight points by the Eagles put the match out of reach.

• Janessa White led all players with 22 kills.
• Mikaela Lisoski added a career high 19 digs for the home team.
