WP Men's Basketball Signs Collin Malcolm and Nate Richards

PORTLAND, Ore. – Warner Pacific College men's basketball made their first addition to the 2015-16 Knight roster today with the signing of prep standout Collin Malcolm and transfer Nate Richards to letters of intent.

Malcolm is currently a senior at Ashland High School, where the 6-5 forward averaged 15 points per game this past season and was named 1st Team All-Midwestern League. "We are very happy to have Collin join our program," said head coach Jared Valentine. "His skill and athleticism will allow him to transition to the college level and make us a better team from day one."

Arriving from the junior college ranks, Richards just finished his sophomore season at Walla Walla Community College. The 6-6 forward averaged 12 points and six rebounds per game with a season high of 36 points. Richards is a graduate of Rosalia High School in Walden, Wash. where he was the WIBCA 1B Player of the Year as a senior (2013). "Nate is a hard-working player that will stretch defenses with his outside shooting and also is an underrated rebounder," said coach Valentine. "He is ready to be a solid player in our conference."

The Knights are coming off a 26-7 season, a Cascade Conference Co-Championships, and a trip to the NAIA DII National Tournament.
