Joe White stepped up and converted a penalty kick in the second half, sending the Knights past Doane College 1-0 today.

The Short Story: The Knights evened their record at 2-2 with a 1-0 decision over the visiting Tigers in evenly matched contest. The play was confined to the middle of the pitch for the most part, with scoring chances at a premium. WPC earned a penalty kick in the 83rd minuted thanks to a handball in the box.
Joe White converted his second career spot kick to give Warner Pacific the winning result.
How it Happened• Doane had the better looks in the first half, send seven shots at goal compared to just one for WP.
• Doane had two good chances in the first period. Luis Castaneda laced a shot from 12 yards in the 34th minute, but
Joe White was there to smother the effort. Moments later TJ Kulawick looked to have a clear header from close range, but his try was over the bar.
• The action picked up a notch after halftime, with several players on both sides receiving bookings.
• WP found several cracks in the Tiger defense, but each chance was fruitless.
Geovanny Vazquez cracked a half volley in the 51st minute that flew high, and
Elijah Troutman had a clear path to the net but could not pull the trigger.
• Things turned edgy after the WP goal, with a red card issued to a Doane player in the 87th minute.
• The Tigers had one final chance at the top of the 18, but the free kick was blocked by the WP defensive wall.
